Summary/Abstract: This study analyses the nature of cross-border cultural activities between Czechs and Germans. The authors consider the degree of satisfaction with the cultural environment, as well as the opportunities provided by culture and participation in events in the place of residence or nearby surroundings, to be important elements in an evaluation of quality of life, which is the central theoretical concept that will be considered in the text. The authors explore the role of culture, cultural offerings and, more broadly, the quality of life of students in the Czech and German borderlands. The study focuses on students because they are the young generation from which future local elites will be generated who will significantly shape the local community and the structure of cross-border ties.
